Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Paris
- Arrive and check in, meet with your fellow Gunnas in the afternoon.
- Introduction with Dev and Jess
- History of Paris walking tour of Ile de la Cité with Jess
- Relax and regroup
- Champagne tasting in the Latin Quarter
- Dinner in Paris’ oldest restaurant
Day 2 – Paris
- Picnic breakfast at the Eiffel Tower.
- Paris Highlights Bike Tour with lunch in Tuileries Gardens OR self guided walking tour/bus tour OR free time
- Afternoon writing workshop in special location
- Disco nap
- Dinner
- Crazy Horse Sexy Cabaret
Day 3 – Paris
- Breakfast at accommodation
- Writing session in one of Paris’ stunning libraries
- 3 course lunch at Dev and Jess’ favourite neighbourhood spot
- Museum tour with the best tour guide in town – Steph (Louvre or Musée D’Orsay)
- Dinner on own if hungry – we will give suggestions, not included
- Options for going out – Jazz club, wine bar, speakeasy (as desired, no fixed plan, not included)
Day 4 – Paris
- Breakfast in local café
- Slow morning. Choice of Dev’s faves walking tour, shopping, Musée Carnavalet visit plus writing in garden.
- Lunch in Montmartre
- Montmartre history and wine tour with Sonja, including map making creative workshop or studio writing
- Dinner?
Day 5 – Paris
- Breakfast on the move
- Market Tour and Cooking Class
- Lunch from what you cook
- Afternoon options include: boat cruise, writing session/people watching on the left bank at Café de Flore, bookshop and garden tour, galleries
Day 6 – Paris to Provence
- Breakfast at Le Train Bleu
- Train to Nimes, bus on to Sommieres to Hotel de L’Orange
- Snack lunch on train (own cost)
- Welcome drink, relaxing afternoon, pool swim
- Dinner at hotel
Day 7 -Provence
- Breakfast at hotel
- Walking tour of Sommiere town
- Lunch on own
- Writing in hotel gardens/poolside
- Dinner and show at local jazz joint
Day 8 -Provence
- Breakfast at hotel
- Market Day! Sommieres has an amzaing market which takes up most of the town. Excellent antiques, food and people watching. Lunch at market – own choice – expect oysters, wine and French goodies (own cost)
- Late afternoon relax and wine, pool. Writing optional
- Dinner at hotel
Day 9 -Provence
- Breakfast at hotel
- Bike tour or life drawing activity (these may not be an either/or choice)
- Garden lunch or picnic
- Free time
- Dinner in town, own choice
Day 10 -Provence to Paris
- Breakfast at hotel
- Transfer to Nimes train station, back to Paris
- Au revoir!
